Eoding Co., Ltd. begins overseas expansion, leading digital innovation in the travel industry

Collaborating with over 1,000 travel agencies

 

Eoding Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Young-jun) is a fast-growing Travel Tech startup that provides ‘Eoding’, a SaaS-based enterprise platform leading the digital transformation of the travel industry.

 

Established in 2018, Eoding currently provides digital solutions optimized for the travel industry with 38 employees, and approximately 1,000 domestic travel agencies are strengthening their competitiveness through this platform.

 

Eoding provides a SaaS-based B2B platform to create an environment where small and medium-sized travel agencies can sell and manage travel products online more easily and inexpensively.

 

CEO Kim and employees are positioning 'Eoding' as a platform like Shopify or Cafe24 in the travel industry. In particular, they view the essence of the travel industry as a 'distribution industry' and digitize it so that travel products can be provided to customers quickly and inexpensively.

 

CEO Kim Young-jun said, "The travel industry was a field that lacked digitalization, and although many industries achieved digital transformation during COVID-19, there was little change in the travel industry."

“To solve the problems faced by travel agencies, we developed a SaaS-based platform based on the experience we gained while operating an existing travel agency.”

 

Eoding grew rapidly by launching its service even during the pandemic in September 2020.

Numerous travel products are distributed on various online channels at home and abroad through Eoding platform. They are creating an environment where small and medium-sized travel agencies can compete with large travel agencies, and these travel agencies are providing travel products more quickly and efficiently through Eoding.

 

The core competitive edge of the company lies in its deep understanding of the travel industry combined with digital technology. The founding team of Eoding consists of seasoned professionals with experience ranging from 1–2 years to over a decade in the travel sector. Their expertise and insights play a crucial role in driving technological innovation.

 

Eoding is now preparing to expand overseas. They plan to launch a new B2B marketplace for the three major travel attributes, including flights, hotels, and tours, starting in the third quarter of 2024. Through this, they will create an environment in which small and medium-sized travel agencies can receive flights and hotels at competitive prices. In addition, Eoding plans to promote the introduction of services in Asian countries such as Vietnam and Malaysia, and to enter overseas markets in earnest next year.

 

 

Eoding’s first step toward entering the global market is the beta launch of its services in the Philippines in 2024. Through close collaboration with local partners, the company is laying a solid foundation for a successful expansion into international markets. Eoding has established a network capable of partnering with over 2,000 travel agencies worldwide and plans to officially expand its services globally by 2025.

 

Eoding has achieved various achievements since its founding. Its technology and business model were recognized by winning the grand prize at the Korea Tourism Organization competition in 2021, and it was selected as a growth tourism venture company in 2022. In addition, corporate reliability has been strengthened by obtaining ISO27001 certification, venture business certification, and Hi Seoul certification.

 

The company plans to continue technological innovation for the development of the travel industry and lay the foundation for growth in the global market.

Kim said, “The travel industry still has a traditional distribution structure, so digital transformation is necessary.”
